Keystone: Turn east at the only traffic light. Follow Hwy 40 for six (6) miles to main entrance.

 

Mount Rushmore: Drive to Keystone. Turn at traffic light and follow Hwy 40 for six (6) miles.

 

Rapid City: Take Hwy 16 (Mount Rushmore Road) to Keystone and turn on SD Hwy 40 at Keystone's only traffic light. Follow scenic 40 for six (6) miles. (OR) Take Hwy 79 south to Hermosa. Turn west onto SD Hwy 40 for Beautiful Rushmore Cave and Mount Rushmore National Memorial.

 

Custer & Hill City: Take SD 16 or 244 to Keystone and turn at the only traffic light. Follow SD Hwy 40 for six (6) miles.

 

Deadwood & Lead: Take 385 and 16 to Keystone and turn at light. Follow SD Hwy 40 for six (6) miles. (OR) Take I-90 to Rapid City and follow Rapid City directions above.

 

Hot Springs: Take SD Hwy 79 north to Hermosa and turn onto SD Hwy 40. Follow SD Hwy 40 for nine (9) miles. (OR) Choose own route to Keystone or Mt Rushmore and follow Keystone directions above.

Located just 6 miles from Mount Rushmore on Hwy 40 between Keystone and Hermosa at Hwy 79, otherwise known as the Heartland Express.
